In the summer, Indian Beach in Ecola State Park is usually pretty crowded with people enjoying the sun... but I much prefer it on those cloudy gloomy days when you only have to share with the occasional local walking a dog, or the diehard surfers out on the horizon. You can hear the sounds of the freezing ocean uninhibited by people. It's one of my favorite places on earth... to reflect, to celebrate, to cry, to come with loved ones. I walked up and met Kady and Dan sitting on their tailgate together overlooking the ocean, and knew immediately that they felt the same love for this place, and a profound love for one another.
So, while we all look forward to Kady and Dan's 2018 wedding in sunny Hood River, let's take a moment to revel in this dreamy chilly day.
