Maggie & Matt: 6/6/16

I would be lying if I said that I haven't been waiting for years to photograph this wedding. Maggie is one of those people who you can't tear your eyes from: her gorgeous smile and infectious laugh make everyone in the room feel good... a photographer's dream. I think Matt would agree. I knew that it would be hard to take a bad photo of these two, and what can I say? When you're right, you're right.

These two incredibly good-looking people tied the knot in Colorado at The Manor House, which fast became maybe my favorite wedding venue of all time. Nestled in the foothills of the mountains, you look through the ceremony space and see the Denver skyline peeking from between two hills. To top it off, we got some incredible Colorado-in-June weather: a beautiful thunder and lightning storm rolled through just before the ceremony, leaving beautiful light and an unbelievably perfect rainbow in it's wake. If good luck exists, these two have it. I'm still swooning just thinking about it... makes me think that I can't wait to move back to Colorado someday.

Matt made all the signage and placards for the wedding (he's an incredibly talented tattoo artist and painter) which made the whole thing feel very uniquely theirs, and their guests loved all the cookies Maggie made (anyone will tell you about her legendary baking skills.) They even had their favorite cookie flown in from the east coast for all their guests to try.

Thank you SO much, Maggie and Matt, for flying me out for your wedding. It definitely made an imprint on my summer.
