Come with me to the hills outside San Francisco, where the sunset light casts rainbows and the air smells like smoked wood and the valley glows at dusk.
When Whitney asked me to come to shoot her wedding in California, I was just as excited at the prospect of working for her as I was about traveling to San Francisco (one of my favorite places). She's a professional event planner (a total dream come true for a wedding photographer!), and I knew everything would be perfectly planned and go off without a hitch.
What I didn't bank on was how much fun I would have at this wedding! With a history in the theater, Whitney and Colin chose the California Shakespeare Theater as their venue, which was surreal and beautiful place to shoot. The family dog was there in a tux, grandma was cracking jokes, and somebody cracked open some Japanese Whiskey. As expected, their friends were super fun, everyone danced, and the convergence of two big families was obviously a really special thing for both of them. It was a neat thing to be a part of.
Thank you so much for taking such good care of me, Whitney and Colin. It was such a pleasure getting to peek into your lives and meet all your friends. I can see why you're popular enough for an 18 person wedding party! (:
