In high school, Chelsea and I were attached at the hip. Back then, we were more concerned about going to punk shows and driving around town in my new car than about boys, and we certainly never speculated about future wedding plans. Deep down, though, I always knew that if Chelsea did get married, I really wanted to be a part of it. It means so much to me that of my close friends from those days who have gotten married, I've been able to photograph many of them. Chelsea and Jay's wedding was particularly special: I remember in high school when they met, and they've been together and in love ever since. They have an awesome kid together, awesome families to celebrate with, and they really are perfect together. Their wedding was a result of their relationship, and not the other way around. I like that.
Chelsea has always been gorgeous, but was utterly breathtaking on her wedding day. I don't think I took a bad photo of her all day! Jay is one lucky dude. (:
I'm so proud of you guys, and I feel so lucky to watch your family progress and grow. Thanks again for asking me to share this day!
