We had a strangely rainy labor day weekend here in the Pacific Northwest, so when Brianna and Tyler's wedding day started out as a downpour, we planned for the worst. But like magic, one hour before the ceremony, the clouds parted and we got some really beautiful weather. I love days like this, when the rain leaves the ground dark and damp, and the diffused light makes the colors of the forest bleed into each other. It was the perfect place to celebrate such an awesome couple and their loved ones.
Brianna and Tyler are incredibly easy-going, but have so much love and emotion for each other and for their families. They didn't panic when the weather was bad, and that made the day so much easier! They even humored me and let me drag them outside at sunset, when the sun came through the clouds for some glorious light. If every couple was as nice to be around as these two, I would happily shoot a wedding every day of the week!
